What is My Feeds?

My Feeds is a FREE RSS reader allowing you to view your favorite Internet content from one source. NewsFeeds RSS engine offers an on-demand RSS parsing and feed management service. Feeds are stored indefinately and can be easily added or deleted from your profile. With a no hassal interface, I believe you will find My Feeds to be superior to the more popular RSS services.

What is RSS?

RSS, otherwise known as "Rich Site Summary" or "Really Simple Syndication", is a popular way to distribute information from websites. Using RSS, a news site or a blog can feed its news articles or entries to a group of subscribers automatically. Putting it technically, RSS is an XML-based format for distributing and aggregating online content. Because RSS is still new, not all websites can publish in RSS. However, there are thousands of RSS sources, and you can find those sources all over the world.

Why would I want To use RSS Feeds?
For Web surfers, the advantages of RSS are quite simple: They save time and bandwidth. Instead of traversing a multititide Web sites, your favorite content comes directly to one source. What's more, most RSS feeds contain just links, headlines or brief synopsis of new information only. This means no ads, popups, or other junk. More importantly, RSS gives you control over receiving information you want without revealing information about yourself. Unlike subscribing to an e-mail newsletter, you never have to give out your e-mail address with an RSS feed. That avoids the possibility of receiving spam or unwanted junk e-mail from the Web site. Unfortunately, you have to surrender an e-mail address in order to read a full article posted on a news site.

How can I find RSS feeds?
RSS feeds are easy to identify. (1) Look for 'RSS Feeds' on any of your favorite sites' navigation. You will likely get a listing of the sites; available feeds. (2) Look for orange buttons like those listed below. Copy the location, or URL, that his button points to. You'll want to paste that in the 'Add A RSS Feed' form in My Feeds.
